Abbott and sophomore Rachel
Ofili smacked-home 10 kills each as the Owls stayed
undefeated. They defeated visiting PSU-Brandywine 3-0 (25-21,
25-10, 25-12) Thursday evening in non-league action.
After a close and hard fought first set, Bryn Mawr separated
themselves from the Lions in the second behind the service of
seniors Miranda
McDevitt and Victoria
Peltonen. Combined, the senior duo's service produced
12 points for the Owls. Following Peltonen's
service, the Owls led 20-8. After the Lion tallied a pair of
points, it was junior Danielle
Preziuso ending the set with back-to-back service
aces.
In the third and final set, Bryn Mawr led 10-6 before using the
power of Abbott and Ofili to
cruise to the 25-12 win.
In addition to her game-high 25 assists,
Preziuso added five service aces while sophomore
Zoe
Holman posted 15 digs. Junior Ellen Chiu
and sophomore Sarah Gates
added three kills each as Ofili scored five total
blocks. Preziuso added three total blocks.
The Owls take their perfect 3-0 record on the road to Bryn Athyn
this weekend for a tri-match with the host lions and St.
Elizabeth's (N.J.).
