Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Junior setter Danielle Preziuso tied her own school record for assists in a four-game match with 45 as the Bryn Mawr volleyball team defeated Ursinus 3-1 (25-18, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22) Thursday night in Centennial Conference action.
Preziuso's previous mark of 45 assists in a four-game match game against Dickinson on Oct. 9, 2012. This time around, her assistance helped the Owls revenged a 3-2 loss to the Bears from a year ago. In addition, it was Bryn Mawr's first conference win of the season.
Three Bryn Mawr attackers reached double-digits in kills. Leading the way was junior Samantha Abbott with 17. Sophomore Rachel Ofili added 13 while classmate Sarah Gates notched 10. Sophomore Noemi Moreno added seven kills.
Also having a record night, sophomore Zoe Holman recorded 31 digs which is second all-time in digs for a four-game match. The record is held by Elizabeth Sinclair who tallied 34 back in 2007. Holman added three assists on the evening. Three others, Moreno, freshman Lauren Shue and Preziuso reached double figures in digs with 13, 11, 10, respectively.
Moreno tallied three aces on the day while Ofili recorded five blocks.
Bryn Mawr is back to action this Saturday when they host Franklin and Marshall at 1:00 pm inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
