Box Score ABINGTON, Pa. – For the second time in three games, the Bryn Mawr volleyball team has played a match to the maximum five sets. However, this time it ended well for the Yellow and White as the Owls edged the Lions for the 3-2 (21-25, 25-16, 15-25, 25-17, 15-9) win.
After dropping the first set, Bryn Mawr battled back to cruise by PSU-Abington in the second. Despite losing the third set, the Owls continued to push on before winning the fourth and fifth set to earn their ninth win of the season.
Leading the Owls with 14 kills was junior Samantha Abbott. Abbott added 12 digs, one ace and a block. Sophomore Rachel Ofili tallied 12 kills and five total blocks while classmate Sarah Gates recorded eight kills.
Junior Danielle Preziuso handed-out 35 assists and sophomore Zoe Holman totaled 19 digs. Freshman Caroline Cosby and Gates had three blocks each.
The Owls are back to the hardwood when they host Ursinus Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7:00 pm inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
