Box Score GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Junior Nicolette Parmese grabbed her fourth double-double of the season behind a game-highs of 19 points and 14 rebounds as the Owls fell to host Gettysburg, 83-39, in Centennial Conference action.
Bryn Mawr was held scoreless the opening 3:18 before Parmese connected on a seven-foot jumper to get the Owls on the board. Bryn Mawr took the lead one minute later as sophomore Quinn Conlan netted a jumper to give the Owls a 4-3 lead.
After the exchange of free-throws and a baseline jumper from junior Jackie Handy, the Owls clinged to a one-point lead, 7-6. Over the next five minutes, the Bullet outscored Bryn Mawr 9-2 to take a 15-9 lead at the 10-minute mark.
Freshman Ashlee Williams' lay-up at 9:13 was Bryn Mawr's only basket for more than five minutes until Parmese connected on pair of free-throws at 4:07. Handy added a free-throw at 1:35 to close out Bryn Mawr's scoring in the opening half. The Bullets held a 38-14 lead at the half.
To start the second-half, the Bullets held the Owls to only three points – a free throw from Handy and a jumper from senior Soraya Terrab – in the opening five minutes of play.
Bryn Mawr added a pair of lay-ups from Parmese and Williams over the next five minutes as Gettysburg increased their lead to 63-21.
During the final 10 minutes of regulation, the Bullets outscored the Owls 30-19 as they picked-up their eighth win of the season.
In addition to Parmese's double-double night, Williams added eight points while Handy chipped-in six.
