Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Md.– Freshman Chantille Kennedy provided the Owls with a career-high 10 point off the bench but it wasn't enough as host Washington College defeated Bryn Mawr 73-35 in the Owls' season finale.
Bryn Mawr was held to five points in the first-half with sophomore Jackie Handy getting the Owls on the board with 17:13 to play in the half. The Owls next three points came way of Kennedy just under four minutes later.
The Shorewomen ended the half on a 22-0 run to give them Washington a commanding 36-5 lead heading into the locker room.
The second-half fared differently for the Owls as they tallied 30 points, powered by Handy with 9 points and Kennedy with seven. Freshman Ashton Dwyer added five points while the trio of freshman classmates Holly Constants and Danielle Preziuso as well as junior Aislinn Toohey added three points each.
Washington placed three players in double digits as Latisha Pledger scored a game-high 17 points. Erin Kile added 16 points and Sally O'Donnell chipped-in 13. Pledger grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
For the Owls, Handy led Bryn Mawr with 11 points followed by Kennedy's 10. Constants and Preziuso grabbed five rebounds each while Toohey handed out a team-high four rebounds.
The Owls end the season 0-25 overall and 0-20 in the Centennial Conference under third-year head coach Deb Charmella '05.
