Box Score BALTIMORE, Md.– Host Johns Hopkins posted 37 points in each half as they cruised to a 74-26 for their 22nd win of the season Thursday night in Centennial Conference action.
After tying the game at 2-2 on a sophomore Nicolette Parmese layup, the Blue Jays held the Owls scoreless the nine minutes as they stabled a 15-points lead, 15-2. With 10:53 to play, sophomore Jackie Handy scored Bryn Mawr's 4th point on a layup and just two minutes later, junior Aislinn Toohey drained a three-pointer.
Bryn Mawr was held to only three points the final 8:40 as Hopkins held a 37-10 advantage at the half.
With 10 minutes remaining in the game, the Blue Jays held a commanding 59-18. Bryn Mawr scored just eight more points down the home stretch as Hopkins continued to add to their lead.
Hopkins' Alex Vassila led all scoring with 16 points and tied with Ciara McCullagh with a game-high seven boards.
Handy and Toohey tallied six points each while Parmese added four. All five freshman, Quinn Conlan, Holly Constants, Ashton Dwyer, Chantille Kennedy and Danielle Preziuso each recorded points for the Owls.
Bryn Mawr closes out their 2011-2012 season on Saturday, February 18, when they travel to Washington College for a 2:00 pm showdown with the Shorewomen.
