BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Senior Valerie Pierre of the basketball team was honored for her dedication to the program Saturday afternoon before the start of the Owls' Centennial Conference show down with the Dickinson Red Devils. As for the game, Bryn Mawr fell to the Devils 29-71.

The Owls got on the board first when sophomore Nicolette Parmese registered a layup at 18:49. Following the basket, Bryn Mawr was held scoreless over the next 7:42 as the Red Devils took a commanding 16-2 lead.

During the final 11:07 of the first half, Parmese tallied six while freshman Holly Constants added two. Dickinson held a 33-10 advantage at the half.

Junior Soraya Terrab netted the Owls first basket of the second-half on a layup with 17:37 to play. Over the next 5:11, Bryn Mawr tallied eight points as junior Aislinn Toohey connected on a three-pointer and a jumper as freshman Chantille Kennedy added three points with a layup and a free-throw.

Parmese scored the next seven points for the Owls over a span of seven minutes as the Devils held a 38-points lead, 65-27, with 3:05 to play.

With 2:32 remaining on the clock, Pierre made her only shot of the day count as she thread the needle from eight feet away, for Bryn Mawr's final bucket of the contest.

Dickinson was led by Liz Schultz with a game-best 18 points. Bridget Borgese and Belma Mekic added 17 and 14 points, respectively. Dana Walsh pulled down a game-best 13 boards.

Leading the Way for the Owls was Parmese with 15 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Jackie Handy grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

Bryn Mawr will play their final home game of the season when they host Swarthmore on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, February 14. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
