Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Sophomore Nicolette Parmese recorded her second double-double of the season with a game-best 17 points and 11 rebounds as Bryn Mawr fell to arch rival Haverford, 50-34, Saturday afternoon on the Main Line.
The Fords controlled the tempo in the first-half after winning the opening tip. Bryn Mawr trailed, 2-4, with 17:33 to play in the opening half, but that was the closest the Owls ever got to the Fords.
Haverford went on a 10-0 run to take a 14-2 lead following a pair of Call Miller free throws. Over the final 11:35 of the half, Bryn Mawr and Haverford battled back-and-forth. The Fords held the upper hand though by outscoring the Owl 18-15 to take a 32-17 lead into the locker rooms.
The second-half started as the first half ended. Bryn Mawr and Haverford traded baskets all half with Haverford outscoring the Owls, 18-17, in the stanza en route to their fifth win of the season.
In addition to Parmese's double-double, sophomore Jackie Handy added six points and junior Aislinn Toohey tallied five.
Bryn Mawr is back to the hardwood when they play host to Muhlenberg on Wednesday, Dec. 7, inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
