Box Score MEDIA, Pa. – Sophomore Nicolette Parmese led all scorers with 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds en route to her 5th double-double of the season. The Lions went on to win the game, 75-46, to earn their 3rd victory of the season.
Penn State took an early 3-0 lead on a three-pointer from Bobbi Caprice before Parmese tallied back-to-back baskets to give Bryn Mawr a 4-3 advantage with 17:15 to remaining in the first. The Lions answered by going on a 10-0 run over the next four minutes and never looked back.
With just under 8:30 to play in the half, Bryn Mawr pulled within seven, 10-17, on a pair of Parmese free-throws. The seven points would be the closest they would get to PSU the remainder of the game.
Penn State's largest lead of the game was 31, when Caprice netted a shot from downtown with 2:20 left in the game. Parmese scored nine of points in the second-half with four baskets and a free-throw.
In addition to Parmese's double-double, classmate Jackie Handy added a game-high 14 rebounds. Freshmen Holly Constants and Ashton Dwyer netted career-highs with nine and seven points, respectively.
Bryn Mawr returns to Centennial Conference action this Saturday when they travel to Dickinson for a 4:00 pm showdown with the Red Devils.
