Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Sophomore Jackie Handy picked-up her fourth double-double of the season with 11 rebounds and 10 points, but it wasn't enough as visiting McDaniel downed the Owls, 56-34, in Centennial Conference action Saturday.
McDaniel jumped out to an early 23-0 lead before freshman Danielle Preziuso got Bryn Mawr on the board with a bucket from downtown. The Green Terror continued to add to their lead en route to their 24-point lead at the half, 38-14.
In the second, Bryn Mawr outscored McDaniel, 20-18, but was unable to overcome their first-half deficit. The Owls outscored the Green Terror 13-6 over the opening 7:56 of the half.
Leading the Owls in the second with eight points was Handy. She also grabbed nine of rebounds in the second frame. Preziuso added a pair off longs shots for six points while sophomore Nicolette Parmese pulled-down six boards.
Playing in her first game since returning to the bench from injury, Preziuso totaled nine points on the day. Parmese added a game-high 15 rebounds and chipped-in with nine points.
The Owls out-rebounded the Terror, 39-38, while tallying nine steals and seven assists.
Bryn Mawr returns to action on Tuesday, January 31, when they host the Ursinus Bears inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
