Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Sophomore Nicolette Parmese recorded a game-high 24 points, but a 37-point second-half led the host Swarthmore Garnet to a 67-36 win Wednesday night.
Bryn Mawr took an early lead when Parmese connected on a layup 1:03 into the game as she scored the contest's first basket. Swarthmore tied the game on the ensuing possession to notch the game at 2-2.
With 18:06 to play in the half, Parmese connected on another lay-up to give the Owls the lead again, the final time the Owls would lead. Swarthmore's Genny Pezzola netted a pair of free-throws to give the game its second tie. 41-seconds later, Katie Lytle put the Garnet up for good with a baseline jumper.
Swarthmore led the Owls 15-10 at the ten-minute mark before outscoring the Owls 15-8 to take a 12-point lead into the locker room.
In the second, Swarthmore used a 37-point half as they outscored Bryn Mawr 37-18 en route to their 8th win of the season.
For Swarthmore, Elle Larsen tallied a team-best 16 points and Madeline Ross reached double-figures with 11 points.
Parmese shot 10-for-12 from the floor and was 4-for5 from the free-throw line. Freshman Holly Constants added six points and sophomore Jackie Handy dished our four assists.
The Owls are back to action this Saturday when they play host to McDaniel College at 2:00 pm inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
