Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Sophomore Nicolette Parmese tallied a game-high 16 points as Bryn Mawr fell to visiting Washington College, 33-70, Tuesday night inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
Parmese scored the game's first basket before the Shorewomen tallied 26 unanswered points over the next minutes to take a 24-point lead. The Owls ended the half on 9-6 run but Washington held a 33-13 lead at the break.
Bryn Mawr was held scoreless the opening 3:33 of the second-half before back-to-back free-throws from sophomore Jackie Handy got the Owls on the board. Bryn Mawr and Washington traded baskets the rest of the game as the Shorewomen cruised to their 10th win of the season.
Leading Washington with 10 points and 17 rebounds was Latisha Pledger while Liz Warkala added a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.
In addition to her game-high 16 points, Parmese added eight rebounds and three blocks. Junior Aislinn Toohey added five points while Handy added snagged nine rebounds.
The Owls are back to the hardwood when they host Johns Hopkins on Thursday, January 19, at 7:00 pm.
