Box Score

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Host Ursinus netted the game's only goal in the 84th minute as the Bears defeated visiting Bryn Mawr 1-0 in Centennial Conference action Wednesday night.

The corner kick, which has been the staple for the Owls on numerous occasions this season, officially turned against them Wednesday night as Ursinus' lone goal of the game came on a corner. With regulation winding down, the Bears used a header from Jess Porcelan to hand the Bryn Mawr their second straight loss of the season.

Junior goalie Rebecca Joseph posted eight saves on 20 shots while her counterpart, Natasha Tonia, turned away four shots to earn Ursinus their first league win of the season.

Senior Natalie Mackow led Bryn Mawr with three shots on the evening.

The Owls are back to action when they travel to Lancaster for an 11:00 am showdown with Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, Oct. 1.
