Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – Lizzie Robinson's netted the Owls only goal of the afternoon with three-seconds remaining in the game as host McDaniel College handed Bryn Mawr their first loss of the season in Centennial Conference action.
The Green Terror tallied back-to-back goals, 20-seconds apart, in the opening five minutes of action Saturday in Westminster.
McDaniel tacked on another goal in the 20th minute when Kelly Crawford notched her second goal of the day. The score would hold the remainder of the half to give the Terror a 3-0 lead heading into the intermission.
In the 58th minute, Erica Diffendal pushed the home teams lead to four when she found the back of the net on a Hillary Hanus assist.
McDaniel tallied their fifth goal of the contest way of a penalty kick in the 76th minute when Teressa Paz beat junior keeper Rebecca Joseph.
The Terror looked to be heading to their first shutout of the season as the final minute approached but Robinson's goal with time about to expire spoiled McDaniel's hopes.
Bryn Mawr held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks but the Terror outshot the Owls 22-7.
Joseph posted eight saves while senior Natalie Mackow and Robinson each tallied two shots.
The Owls are back to the pitch on Wednesday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Ursinus for a 7:30 pm contest.
