BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr College volleyball team opened-up their Centennial Conference slate Wednesday night with a 3-1 (25-16, 30-28, 23-25, 25-21) win over visiting Washington College.

Leading the way for the Owls was senior Mikecia Witherspoon with 19 kills. She also added 14 digs and two block assists. Classmate Katie Merrill ended the night with 18 digs, 16 kills and 10 total blocks.

Freshman Danielle Preziuso handed out 25 assists while senior Emily Takeuchi-Miller dished out 17. Preziuso added 13 digs while junior Hannah Rosebrock dug 12 attacks.

Rosebrock tallied nine kills while Preziuso recorded three service aces.

As a team, the Owls amassed 80 digs, 53 kills, 48 assists and 13 total blocks.

The Owls hit the road this weekend when they travel to McDaniel for a 1:00 pm showdown with the Green Terror.
