Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Sophomore Nicolette Parmese registered 24 points and 11 rebounds, both game-highs, en route to her third double-double of the season as visiting Muhlenberg defeated the Owls 115-43 in league play.
Parmese scored the game's first basket on a lay-up and connected on a jumper less than a minute later to give Bryn Mawr a 4-3 lead, before the Mules went on a 21-0 run to take a staggering 24-4 lead. Muhlenberg eventually took a 50-22 lead into the locker room.
Parmese ended the opening half with 10 points while classmate Jackie Handy added five.
In the second frame, Parmese erupted for 14 points and seven rebounds as six came on the defensive side of the ball. She was 4-for-8 from the field and 6-for-11 from the charity stripe.
In addition to Parmese, Handy added seven points on the evening and freshman Holly Constants added a career-best six points. Junior Aislinn Toohey added four points and a pair of assists while Handy tallied two blocked shots.
The Owls are back to action when they close out the 2011 portion of the season on Saturday, Dec. 10, with a 2:00 pm contest against the McDaniel Green Terror.
