Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md.– McDaniel proved too much for the Owls to handle as the Green Terror defeated Bryn Mawr 71-38 Saturday afternoon in conference action.
McDaniel got off to a quick start by jumping out to an early 13-2 lead, but the Owls started to claw their way back on back-to-back three's by Holly Constants and Aislinn Toohey to cut into the Terror's lead.
Down ten, 8-18, the Owls went on an 8-1 run to pull within three, 19-16, the closest they would be to McDaniel the remainder of the contest. The Terror ended the opening half on a 19-4 run to take a 38-20 lead at halftime.
In the second, McDaniel continued to add to their lead and took a 36-point lead, their largest of the game, with just under 1:30 left on the clock, en route to their sixth victory of the season.
Leading the Owls was Nicolette Parmese with a team-best 16 points, four rebounds and three steals. Constants added eight points along with an assist and a steal. Jackie Handy pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds while handing out a team-bet two assists.
Bryn Mawr closes out the first half of the season and return to the hardwood on January, 4, 2012, when they travel to PSU Brandywine for a 7:00 pm contest.
