Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.– Nicolette Parmese and Aislinn Toohey combined for 30 of Bryn Mawr 43 points Tuesday night as the host Ursinus Bears defeated the Owls 77-43 in Centennial Conference action.
Bryn Mawr held an early 3-2 lead when Taytiana Welch made a 10-foot jumper, but the lead was short lived as Ursinus answered by going on a 22-2 run to take a 24-5 lead with just under team minutes to play in the opening half.
Ursinus closed the half on a 15-10 run to take a commanding 34-15 lead into the intermission.
In the second half, Parmese led the Owls with 10 points followed closely behind by Toohey with nine. Danielle Preziuso chipped in six points. With 12:08 left in the game, Ursinus held their largest lead of the night, 39, 64-25, on an Amber Yacenda three-pointer.
Parmese ended the night with 17 points as Toohey chipped-in 13. Parmese also grabbed 10 rebounds, tallying her second double-double of the season. Jacky Handy pulled down a game-best 11 rebounds with ten coming on the defensive side of the ball.
The Owls are back to the hardwood when they host arch rival Haverford College on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 2:00 pm inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
