BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr College volleyball team fell to rival Swarthmore College 0-3 (26-28, 18-25, 14-25), Tuesday night in Centennial Conference action on the Main Line.

Leading the way for the Owls with 11 kills was senior middle hitter Katie Merrill. She added 21 digs, four total blocks, and one service ace. In the latest NCAA statistical release, Merrill is ranked third in the nation with 5.42 points per set.

Senior Mikecia Witherspoon added 12 digs, five kills and three total blocks while freshman setter Danielle Preziuso tallied 11 digs and assists along with one service ace.

Senior setter Emily Takeuchi-Miller added 10 digs and handed-out five assists. Junior Hannah Rosebrock totaled six digs along with one block and one ace.

The Owls close out the 2011 season when they host Dickinson on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 7:00 pm inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.
