Bryn Mawr College

Dr. Peter Thompson became the Clinical and Sport Psychologist for Bryn Mawr Athletics in the 2024–25 academic year. His work with athletes and teams’ centers around personal growth, well-being, leadership, performance excellence, and resilience.

Thompson is a PA Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), PA Certified Secondary School Counselor, and former higher education student affairs director, clinician, counselor supervisor, NCAA athletic department mental performance director, adjunct sport psychology, positive psychology, and counselor education instructor, and elite club and collegiate head coach.

In addition to his work at Bryn Mawr College Thompson operates a private practice in the Philadelphia area.
