Drew Taylor became the Bryn Mawr Field Hockey program's first full-time assistant coach in June 2025.
Taylor comes to Bryn Mawr after an illustrious playing career at Penn State, where she recently graduated with a B.A. in Communication Arts and Science and a certificate in Organizational Leadership. Â
During her five-year career in State College, Taylor played forward for the Nittany Lions, earning a Big Ten Championship and Final Four appearance in 2022 and a Big Ten Tournament appearance in 2023 before serving as a team captain in 2024. She appeared in 43 games and made 29 starts while also serving on the Student Athlete Advisory Counsel and Big Ten Conference Issues Commission. Â
While at Penn State, Taylor coached with Blue Stripe Field Hockey Club for two years and umpires within the USA Field Hockey umpiring pathway. Â
At Penn State "The Nittanys" athletics award ceremony in April 2025, Taylor was honored with the Above and Beyond Award, recognizing her work on campus and in the community as a true representation of the "We Are" mantra.Â
A native of Coatesville, Pa., Taylor was a four-year starter at Coatesville High School and graduated as the all-time leading goal scorer in school history. She played for X-Calibur Field Hockey Club, earning a second place showing at the National Club Championship.Â
