CARLISLE, PA- The Bryn Mawr College swim team competed in a four-team meet against Dickinson, Misericordia, and McDaniel on Saturday afternoon, turning in several strong performances and securing a win against McDaniel.
Highlights:
- The Owls opened the meet in the women's 400-yard medley relay, where the squad of Chloe Amos, Samantha Ings, Jane Farrell, and Maya Madden placed fourth with a time of 4:24.26. Farrell delivered one of the top performances of the day for the Owls, capturing first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a winning time of 1:02.44. Farrell also added a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.90) and placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:23.13).
- In the distance events, Lexi Mireider and Mina Doebele represented Bryn Mawr in the 1,000-yard freestyle, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively. Mireider finished with a season best in the event with a time of 12:15.32. Doebele later added a fifth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, while Shoshana Peck followed closely behind in sixth.
- The Owls showed strength in the backstroke events, with Amos adding a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard event, while Madden placed third in the 50-yard backstroke.
- Sprint performances included Dalia Ibrahim, who finished fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke with a personal best (34.14) and fifth in the 50-yard freestyle, while Shelby Jackson placed eighth in the 50 freestyle.
