PENNSAUKEN N.J. - The Bryn Mawr Owls competed in the Knecht Cup Regatta this past weekend. Over the course of the weekend, Bryn Mawr competed in the DIII Women's Varsity 8+ Heats, qualifying in both the petite and grand final events on Sunday. The Owls also competed in the Division III Women's Varsity 4+ Heats, placing 4th, just shy of a grand final appearance on Sunday. After a strong week of racing, the Bryn Mawr Owls secured a medal in the Knecht Cup Division III Women's Rowing Event for the third year in a row.

In the Women's DIII Varsity 8+ Heats, the Varsity 8+ held a commanding lead down the 2000m course, winning the event by open water, and securing a spot in the grand final.
Sunday

The Second Varsity 8+ raced in the petite final, placing 5th in the event with a time of 7:54.31. The crew held their own against a wide-spread event, with the petite final hosting both first and second Varsity 8+ boats from Division III and club teams.
