CHESTERTOWN, MD. – The Bryn Mawr College swim team hit the road on Saturday for a tri-meet against Washington College and Susquehanna University. Despite facing stiff competition, the Owls turned in several impressive performances throughout the afternoon, and earned a win against Susquehanna University, 107-94.

The meet began with the 400-yard medley relay, where Bryn Mawr's relay team of Shelby Jackson, Maddie Sullivan, Jane Farrell, and Dalia Ibrahim raced to a second-place finish in 4:16.40. The strong start showcased the team's cohesion and determination against the field.

In the distance events, senior Felicia Pursner led the way for the Owls in the 1000-yard freestyle, clocking a 12:05.27 to finish fourth overall. Sophomore Lexi Mireider added points for Bryn Mawr with a fifth-place finish in 12:21.38.

The 200-yard freestyle saw sophomore Samantha Ings step up with a third-place finish and season best, touching the wall in 2:10.18. Teammate Jackson followed in fifth with a season best of 2:15.62, and fellow first-year Shoshana Peck rounded out the group in eighth with a career best of 2:21.82.

In the sprint events, Ibrahim stood out with a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 26.58. The Owls flew during the 100-yard butterfly event with Farrell touching in second with a time of 1:04.48, and Ibrahim finishing fifth in 1:09.47. Jackson finished third in the 100-yard freestyle as well.

Bryn Mawr saw strong performances in the 500-yard freestyle, where Ings earned her second podium finish of the day, taking second place with a time of 5:48.13. Sullivan followed closely in third (5:50.99), with Mireider adding a fifth-place finish in 6:01.88.

The Owls capped the meet with a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team of Ings, Ella Cohn, Pursner, and Mireider posted a time of 4:06.59, wrapping up the day for Bryn Mawr.
The Owls will look to build on these performances as they continue their season at the Centennial Conference Championship, starting the weekend of February 20th at 7:00 PM hosted by Franklin and Marshall University.
