BRYN MAWR, PA- The Bryn Mawr swim team turned in a strong performance on Friday evening, collecting several first-place finishes in a competitive dual meet against Ursinus. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Owls fell by a score of 112–93.
Highlights:
- Bryn Mawr opened the night with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, as the quartet of Chloe Amos, Pearl Shelton, Jane Farrell, and Dalia Ibrahim clocked a 1:57.85 to edge out Ursinus by less than a second.
- Shelton continued her evening with two individual wins, capturing the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.67 and later dominating the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:29.63.
- Ibrahim led a strong sprint group for the Owls, sweeping the 50-yard freestyle in 26.27 while also placing third in the 100-yard freestyle (58.89). Teammate Maya Madden finished just behind in the 50 free, taking second at 26.43.
- Farrell delivered another top performance for Bryn Mawr, winning the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.11, while also contributing key points in the 100 breaststroke.
- Chloe Amos added a runner-up finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.40) and third in the 200 IM (2:24.40).
- Other strong showings included Samantha Ings, who earned second and a personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.41), and Shelby Jackson, who placed third in the 200 free and contributed to both relays.
