Owls Celebrate Senior Day in Home Meet Against Dickinson

BRYN MAWR, PA - The Bryn Mawr Owls fought hard but ultimately fell short against Dickinson College in a spirited swim meet earlier Saturday. Despite strong finishes by multiple Owls, the final score stood at 164-97 in favor of the Red Devils. Prior to the meet, the Bryn Mawr celebrated their three seniors: Felicia Pursner, Anna Roumiantsev, and Maddie Sullivan.

Highlights:
  • Junior Owl Jane Farrell secured a victory in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.45 and earned second place in the 100 yard butterfly, clocking in at 1:01.82.
  • Samantha Ings put in a stellar effort in the grueling 1000 yard freestyle and finished first with a time of 11:40.10. She also claimed fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:14.71).
  • The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Farrell, Ella Cohn, Dalia Ibrahim, and Sullivan posted a second place finish with a time of 1:45.74, narrowly behind Dickinson.
  • Sullivan shone in multiple individual events on the day with second place finishes in the 200 yard freestyle (2:06.42), 100 yard breaststroke (1:12.71) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:37.97).
  • Dickinson Tori May broke a pool record in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.76.
  • Seniors Roumiantsev and Pursner also had a strong day. Roumiantsev competed in the 200 yard medley relay, 100 yard backstroke, and 50 yard freestyle. Pursner joined her fellow senior in the 200 yard medley relay and also competed in the 200 yard freestyle, 200 yard breaststroke, and 200 yard individual medley.
