Bryn Mawr Swim Secures 110-87 Win Over Immaculata

IMMACULATA, PA. – The Bryn Mawr swim program brought home a commanding victory earlier Saturday after a strong performance in the Alumnae Hall Pool, defeating the Mighty Macs of Immaculata, 110-87.  

Highlights:
  • The Owls had a strong start to the meet with the crew of Jane Farrell, Maddie Sullivan, Ella Cohn, and Dalia Ibrahim finishing first in the 200-yard medley relay (2:00.89).
  • Lexi Mireider placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a personal record of 2:15.01. She later competed in the 400-yard Individual Medley for the first time in her career with a time of 5:50.13 and placed third behind sophomore Mina Rothberg (5:25.81).
  • First-years Cohn and Adrianna Porter Meachem were the next Owls to finish first in an event. In the 100-yard butterfly, Cohn recorded a time of 1:05.07, while Porter Meachem tallied a personal record in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:00.63.
  • Cohn brought in the Owls' last individual win of the day in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.99). The first-year finished mere seconds before junior Farrell (1:17.08) who debuted in this event for the first time in her career.
  • Bryn Mawr rounded out the meet with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay led by Ellie Berry, Sullivan, Shelby Jackson, and Ibrahim (1:50.44).
The swim team will return next week as they travel to conference opponent Gettysburg College to compete in the Gettysburg Invitational, a two day event that will take place on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7.
