CARLISLE, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr swim team traveled to Dickinson for their first meet of the 2024 year. Junior
Maddie Sullivan and first-year
Ellie Berry each won an individual event for the Owls, but the Red Devils took home the win, 169-92.
Highlights:
- Senior Vivian Sandifer opened the individual events in the 100 freestyle to place second with a time of 11:19.93, soon followed by fellow Owl and first-year Samantha Ings (11:34.34). Sandifer went on to place second in the 100 freestyle (5:32.77) while junior Felicia Pursner placed third with a time of 5:57.20.
- Sullivan recorded the Owls' first win of the day in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.04 to collect nine points for Bryn Mawr.
- Berry earned Bryn Mawr's second win of the day in the 100 freestyle (55.97). The first year went on to record a second place finish in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.06.
- Two more Owls finished second in individual events. Maya Madden placed in the 100 backstroke (1:05.71) and Jane Farrell recorded a time of 1:02.54 in the 100 butterfly. Farrell was closely trailed by first-years Zoe Sorensen (1:03.50) and Dalia Ibrahim (1:06.59).
The Bryn Mawr swim program will return to their home pool next Saturday to compete against Washington College and celebrate their three seniors:
