ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr swim team competed in a tri-meet on Saturday hosted by Cedar Crest, earning wins over Cedar Crest (167-77) and Lebanon Valley (173-58). In total, the Owls finished first in 11 events, nine of which were individual events.
 
Highlights:

• First-year Mina Rothberg stood out at the tri-meet as she won two events, the 200 butterfly (2:19.95) and the 200 individual medley (2:22.91).
• Junior Maddie Sullivan had a strong day in the breaststroke events to earn first place in the 100 and 200 with times of 1:13.26 and 2:46.16 respectively. Teammate Katharine Briggs finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.46).
• Sullivan improved her time in the 100 breaststroke from the Centennial Quad Meet to move up five spots in the Bryn Mawr Top-10 records.
• Sophomore Jane Farrell beat out teammate Vivian Sandifer in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:23.32. Sandifer would go on to place first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:40.13.
• Sophomore Maya Madden earned first place finishes in the 200 freestyle (1:07.91) and 100 butterfly (1:09.55).
• Junior Felicia Pursner won the Owls' first individual event of the day in the 1000 freestyle (12:08.69) followed in by teammate Bethany Rutkowski (12:32.07).
• Bryn Mawr also won two team events - the 200 medley relay (Sandifer, Sullivan, Farrell, Madden) and the 200 freestyle relay (Farrell, Sullivan, Madden, Rothberg).

 
Bryn Mawr will host their first meet of the season next Friday against Ursinus.
