Kronauer Paces the Field at Dutchmen XC Invitational

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Senior co-captain Kristina Kronauer paced the field as she claimed her first invitational win of the year and the second of her career, at the Dutchmen XC Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College.

Kronauer's time of 18:36.76 was nearly eight seconds faster than the second-place finisher, Marina Orrson of Misericordia. The race featured runners from 14 teams, including one NCAA Division II team, and a slew of unattached runners.

Finishing second for the Owls and 35th overall was freshman Rebecca Craig with a time of 21:53.73. Craig was then followed by sophomores Kim Wiley and Georgia Robles with times of 22:09.26 and 22:09.52, respectively.

Freshman classmates Alexandra Beda (22:28.72) and Hannah Hastings (22:35.51) as well as sophomore Elaine Schmidt (22:53.19) round-out Bryn Mawr's top seven finishers.

Also putting forth valiant efforts on the course today was sophomore Irena Goldstein (26:12.49) and freshmen Hannah Wang (29:13.13) and Yamina Mohattane (29:14.37), both competing in their first collegiate race.

Overall the Owls finished 6th out of 12 teams.

The Owls are back to action next Saturday, Sept. 15, when they travel to Penn State Brandywine for a 1:00 pm race.
