BRYN MAWR, Pa. - Bryn Mawr Athletics is excited to announce the details of the College's second-annual Homecoming! This year, Homecoming is set to take place Saturday, September 29th, starting with a Kickoff Reception at 11:00 AM to help get the festivities underway. Also this year, the day will recognize 50 years of Bryn Mawr Volleyball as well as the accomplishments of former field hockey coach and Athletic Director Jenepher Shillingford. Several alumnae games will take place throughout the day, and as always, make sure to bring your family, friends, and some strong vocal cords to help cheer on the Owls as Bryn Mawr faces off against Centennial Conference rival Gettysburg in soccer, field hockey, and volleyball.
Homecoming 2018 will kick off with a reception at 11 AM, where all are welcome to join for coffee and pastries and hear Bryn Mawr Director of Athletics Kathy Tierney share points of pride and officially open the festivities. The first varsity game will take place at 12 PM, as soccer will hit the turf on Applebee Field to take on Gettysburg. A light, tailgate-style lunch will open at 12:30 PM to help energize the crowd as we cheer on the Owls. Various alumnae games will kick off between 2 and 3 PM, including basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball. At 3:30, it's field hockey's turn to take the turf against the Bullets. Then, the festivities will make their way inside, where everyone is invited to help Bryn Mawr Volleyball celebrate their 50th season by cheering on the Owls against Gettysburg at 5:00 PM. Immediately following that match, there will be a dessert reception, where all attendants are invited to join current student-athletes to close out the day.
Homecoming is free to attend for all, and alumnae are encouraged to bring along their families to help cheer on the Owls throughout the day! Registration for the event is available at the link below!
